We are working to preserve our community by stopping uncontrolled development – particularly destructive and polluting Class III Heavy Industry.

 

We do this through community outreach and mobilization that engages our neighbors in raising our collective voices. Policymakers at all levels of government must know that we are here and that we will fight to protect our rural way of life.

Noise Ordinance: Public Hearing Report, next steps

By speaking out on behalf of our community, the first motion made by Commissioner Turner was passed to limit noise outside the hours of Monday through Friday 7AM-5PM , a win for Snow Camp!

Vibrations & noise are serious environmental problems resulting from blasting in mines and quarries, with high numbers impacted and widespread consequences.

Tell the County Planning Department That You Care!

If nobody knows – nobody objects.Don’t allow heavy industry to sneak in. Email the County Planning Department directly and tell them what you think about Class III Industries.
